The Lebanon Trail football team earned its third win of the season Thursday night with another exciting matchup against Memorial.
Frisco ISD's two newest high schools played a tight game last year that Memorial ended up winning. In the second matchup of the schools, Lebanon Trail erased an early deficit and then held off Memorial for a 37-35 win at the Ford Center.
Drew Martin threw for four touchdowns and ran for another for Lebanon Trail (3-2, 1-2 in District 7-5A Division II). His most frequent receiving targets were Jason O'Brien (8 catches, 94 yards, 1 touchdown) and Drew Donley (5 catches, 118 yards, 2 touchdowns).
The defense also helped secure the win. After Memorial took an early 14-3 lead, the Lebanon Trail defense stopped Memorial on its next four possessions -- intercepting a pass, forcing two punts and recovering a fumble.
That helped Lebanon Trail pull out to a 31-14 lead early in the second half.
